Materials:

Hook: 4mm
Yarn: Worsted/Aran cotton (Recommended: DROPS Paris)
Estimated Yardage:
70m for the crust
100m for the filling
Note: You can use any yarn type with a corresponding hook, adjusting the size of the pie as desired. It is advisable to use a hook one size smaller than the recommendation on the yarn label.

Abbreviations:

st(s): stitch(es)
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
ss: slip stitch
dc-inc: double crochet increase (two double crochet in the same stitch)
sc-inc: single crochet increase (two single crochet in the same stitch)
dc2tog: double crochet two together
5dc-cluster: 5 dc in the same stitch, holding the last loop of each (6 loops on the hook). Yarn over, pull through all loops, ch1. Counts as a 2-stitch increase (cluster + ch1).

Pattern:

Pie Filling:
For a textured filling, consider substituting some or all of the dc-inc with 5dc-cluster stitches. In the cherry pie example pictured above, I replaced all dc-inc with clusters in rounds 3, 5, 6, 7, and half of them in round 8.

Magic loop, ch2, 12dc, join with ss (12 sts)
Ch2, dc-inc in each st around, join (24 sts)
Ch2, [dc, dc-inc] around, join (36 sts)
Ch2, [dc-inc, 2dc] around, join (48 sts)
Ch2, [3dc, dc-inc] around, join (60 sts)
Ch2, [dc-inc, 4dc] around, join (72 sts)
Ch2, [5dc, dc-inc] around, join (84 sts)
Ch2, [dc-inc, 6dc] around, join (96 sts)
Continue this increasing pattern for a larger pie or stop earlier for a smaller size. Attach any additional decorations, such as a lemon slice, at this point.

Ch1, sc in the back loop only all around, join (96 sts)
Ch2, [dc2tog, 6dc] around, join (84 sts)
Ch2, [dc2tog, 5dc] around, join (72 sts)
Ch2, [dc2tog, 4dc] around, join (60 sts)
Ch2, [dc2tog, 3dc] around, join (48 sts)
Ch2, [dc2tog, 2dc] around, join (36 sts)
Ch2, [dc2tog, 1dc] around, join (24 sts)
Ch2, dc2tog all around, join (12 sts)
Ch2, dc2tog all around, fasten off leaving a tail (6 sts)
Use the tail to weave in and out of the last 6 stitches, pulling it tight to close the circle.

Pie Crust:

The crust starts similarly to the filling:
Magic loop, ch2, 12dc, join with ss (12 sts)
Ch2, dc-inc in each st around, join (24 sts)
Ch2, [dc, dc-inc] around, join (36 sts)
Ch2, [dc-inc, 2dc] around, join (48 sts)
Ch2, [3dc, dc-inc] around, join (60 sts)
Ch2, [dc-inc, 4dc] around, join (72 sts)
Ch2, [5dc, dc-inc] around, join (84 sts)
Ch2, [dc-inc, 6dc] around, join (96 sts)
To accommodate the filling, make the crust slightly larger and work the crust border.

Ch1, [15sc, sc-inc] around, join (102 sts)
Ch1, sc in the back loop only all around, join (102 sts)
Ch1, sc all around, join
