Using a 3mm thread and a 3mm hook, follow these steps for a crochet project tailored for different age groups:

  • 1 Year: 100 chains
  • 2 Years: 110 chains
  • 3 Years: 120 chains
  • 4 Years: 130 chains

Round 1: Start with a chain of the specified length, join one end with the other using a slip stitch. Work 4 chains, skip 1 chain, and in the next, make 1 double crochet, 1 chain. Continue this sequence until the end of the round. Finish the round with a slip stitch in the 3rd chain from the beginning.

Round 2: This round involves increases. Begin with 3 chains, 2 double crochet (where the chain point was made in the previous round), 1 double crochet (where the double crochet was in the previous round). Continue this sequence until the end of the round. Finish the round with a slip stitch in the 3rd chain from the beginning.

Round 3: Same as Round 1.

Round 4: Start with 4 chains, skip 1 chain, and in the next, make 1 double crochet, 1 chain. Continue this sequence until the end of the round. Finish the round with a slip stitch in the 3rd chain from the beginning.

Round 5: Same as Round 1.

Round 6: 3 chains, 1 double crochet in each stitch.

Round 7: Same as Round 1.

Round 8: Same as Round 6.

Round 9: Same as Round 1.

After completing the neckline, count the squares obtained. If you started with 100 chains, you should have approximately 94 squares. Divide these into 4 equal parts: 22 and 22 for sleeves (place a marker), 25 and 25 for front and back (place another marker). Adjust the distribution if you have more or fewer squares by subtracting 3 squares from the sleeves and adding them to the front and back.

Skirt:

  1. Position within the square, make 4 chains. In the same square, create 5 triple crochets. 1 chain in the next square, 1 single crochet, 1 chain in the next square, and 6 triple crochets in the same square.
  2. When you reach the 1st marker, skip the 22 squares of the sleeve. Continue the sequence for the front until you reach the next marker, then skip the 22 squares of the sleeves again. Continue this sequence until the end of the round. Finish the round with a slip stitch in the 4th chain from the beginning.

Round 2: Position with a slip stitch in the 1st triple crochet. Make 4 chains, 2 back post triple crochet, 2 chains, 3 back post triple crochet. Skip to the next fan and repeat this sequence until the end of the round. Finish the round with a slip stitch in the 4th chain from the beginning.

Round 3: Same as Round 1. Make 1 chain and position in the center of the fan from the previous round. Create 6 triple crochets in the center, 1 chain, 1 single crochet between fans, and 1 chain. Repeat this sequence and close the round with a slip stitch at the starting chain point.

Continue working on the skirt for as long as desired. Enjoy your crochet project!
